Art Districts

Whether you choose Bradenton homes for sale or Sarasota homes for sale, these two sister cities will put you in the middle of one of Florida's most vibrant art scenes. Art districts are found throughout Sarasota County, and our real estate agents will gladly introduce them to you.

Art districts are specially designated locations where volunteers and the municipal government all work together to encourage cultural flourishing. Whether you're an artist, an artisan, or simply one who appreciates the beautiful things in life, there is something here for you.

Let's visit some of the amazing districts near Sarasota County:

  • Towles Court Artist Colony – 1938 Adams Lane #105, Sarasota, FL 34236
Towles Court Artist Colony is a community of fine artists, including many born and raised in Sarasota and transplants from all over the world. Open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m., it includes combined studio, gallery, and restaurant space. All styles and media are represented here, and the artists also offer occasional classes. It is right in the heart of the beautiful downtown area.

  • The Historic Downtown Village of Sarasota – 1861 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, FL 34236
The Historic Downtown Village of Sarasota is a place to savor all manner of art and enjoyment. Within just a few short blocks, you'll find architectural treasures, historic sites, delicious cuisine, shopping, and public art. The historic district encompasses 19 acres and ascended to the National Register of Historic Places in April of 2009. Most of the nearby shops are converted from historic homes.

  • Historic Olde Englewood Village – See Website for Location Information in Venice, FL
Historic Olde Englewood Village will enchant you with its selection of small shops and restaurants, most of them locally owned and operated. You can meet four dozen exhibiting artists at any given time, thanks to the local Arts Alliance. It's all minutes from Venice homes for sale.

  • Venice Arts Center, Inc. – 390 Nokomis Ave South, Venice, FL 34285
Venice Arts Center, Inc. is the anchor institution of the Venice Arts district. Here, you can see, enjoy, and even create your own art. Guests of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome to learn all new ways to express themselves. Hundreds of different classes are on hand every season, with a rotating catalog that includes photography, digital art, jewelry, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, and painting.

  • Bradenton's Village of the Arts – 1227 12th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34205
Bradenton's Village of the Arts is a unique concoction of art galleries, studios, restaurants, and shops, and more centered in a live-work community. Colorful cottages make up the bulk of the village's buildings, and you'll find services that run the gamut from yoga to knife sharpening. On the first Friday night and first Saturday afternoon each month the Bradenton VOTA Art Walk has live music and delectable food.
